Amazing Upgrade – Worth Every Penny!
We moved into a mostly tile-floored home and originally purchased an iRobot i3 to help with dirt and dog hair from our Westie. Unfortunately, the i3 struggled — it would get lost, tangled in hair, and often couldn't even find its way back to the base. It also had a knack for finding dog messes before I did... and making them worse. Between our Westie, three long-haired women, and later adding a cat and a mini Australian Shepherd (who sheds a lot), hair pickup became essential. After a lot of research, we decided to invest in the Dreame X50 Ultra — and I can honestly say it was one of the best purchases we've made. Yes, it's expensive, but the value and performance far exceed the cost. The cleaning quality is incredible. The first time I emptied the bag, I couldn't believe how much hair it had picked up — and there was nothing left tangled in the brushes or stuck in the vacuum bin. It handles dog and human hair with no issues at all. Plus, the mopping feature is fantastic and very easy to maintain — just refill the clean water and empty the dirty water. It even follows the direction of our tile for a flawless finish. The app is intuitive and powerful. I’ve set different cleaning paths for different days of the week, and I love that it detects extra-dirty areas and offers to clean them again automatically. Unlike our old robot, the X50 Ultra effortlessly cleans the entire downstairs, including bedrooms, without getting stuck or lost. It's also much quieter than expected.Maintenance is a breeze, performance is outstanding, and the peace of mind knowing our floors are truly clean is priceless. If you're on the fence — buy it. You won’t regret it!

Cleans like a beast and saves my wife and I a lot of time
I’ve used a few robot vacuums in the past, but the Dreame X50 Ultra is in another league. The suction is seriously strong—20,000Pa makes a noticeable difference, especially on carpets. It handles pet hair, crumbs, and everyday dust without any trouble. The auto-empty and self-cleaning mop features are the real game changers for me. I barely have to touch the thing—it vacuums and mops, then returns to its base and cleans itself. The app is intuitive, and the mapping is super accurate. I can even set no-go zones or specific cleaning areas right from my phone.Obstacle avoidance is good 90% of the time, though every now and then it bumps something small like a sock. Still, it rarely gets stuck, and the detangling brush has helped a lot with hair wrap issues I used to deal with in other bots.If you want something that truly feels hands-off and keeps floors looking freshly cleaned every day, this is absolutely worth the investment.

Great helper to clean floor
I've been using the DREAME X50 Ultra White for a few weeks now, and I'm honestly super impressed. It vacuums and mops really well — my floors have never been this clean with so little effort from me. The suction is strong, it handles pet hair easily, and the smart mapping means it doesn’t miss spots. I love that it empties itself and even washes the mop, which saves me a ton of time. Plus, it looks sleek and modern. If you’re looking for a hands-free way to keep your floors spotless, this robot’s a game-changer.

It was Impressive... for a short period of time :(
The media could not be loaded. I purchased the Dreame X50 Ultra in early May 2025 and was genuinely impressed. In our new home with all LVP flooring, it vacuumed and mopped beautifully. For the first 45 days, it was flawless — hands down the best floor-cleaning robot I’ve used. Then, unexpectedly, it began reporting that the mop pads had "fallen off," even though they were properly attached. After a factory reset and multiple checks, the issue persisted — clearly a sensor failure, not a user error.I first contacted DreameTech support by phone, but the agent I reached couldn’t grasp the nature of the issue. Her only suggestion was to reinstall the mop pads and try again — advice that was both dismissive and unhelpful. Frustrated, I ended the call and turned to their online Zendesk system, hoping for more effective support.I opened a ticket on July 1. It took a full week of repetitive back-and-forth — resending the same details and photos — before I was finally issued a shipping label for a warranty review. Even then, the instructions were unclear about whether I needed to return just the robot or the entire docking system. What was made crystal clear, though, was that if I no longer had the original packaging, Dreame would not provide replacement packing materials — and that this isn’t covered under warranty. So now, due to a likely sensor failure on an otherwise excellent product, I have to figure out how to ship a delicate $1,000+ robot without proper packaging, with zero support from the company to make that process easier. The product is impressive when it works — but the support experience, especially for something at this price point, has been anything but.I’ll return to update this review after completing their “repair process” — hopefully, the resolution is better than the journey so far.
