Fast and quiet
Just what I needed to extend my network. Normally a little warm but hot under load. Make sure you do not cover it up and you will love it,

Fantastic
Works great, just keep it plugged in and you're golden

Good, but not perfect.
This switch works well, and is fanless, so it's quiet. The one complaint I have is that the power connector is an oddball size, which complicates things needlessly if you want to do something like power it with a PoE adapter or replace the power supply.

Reliable. Made in Taiwan. Runs very warm
This 5-port 10GbE runs warm but it’s silent in contrast to the 8-port model (which I also have). I have low concern about the device itself and heat generation but in an enclosed environment, the surrounding electronics may not like the heat generated by this device. Adding some external cooling may be helpful.

Device failed after one month.
The device failed after roughly one month. The RMA process requires the user pay for shipping, the replacement unit failed after one hour. After another hour on tech support they expect me to pay for shipping, again.

Fantastic switch and outstanding value
While my ASUS GT-AXE16000 home router has 2 x 10 GbE ports, I actually needed a total of four 10 GbE ports + 1 uplink to the router. Plugging in my Synology NAS, my Plex server, my video editing desktop, and another NAS was never easier. Every port configured at 10 GbE and I have phenomenal speeds.I set the MTU for all devices to 9,000 to minimize overhead and maximize throughput. Here's the results transferring a 33 GB file from my video editing desktop to the Synology NAS.Before1 GbE (Plex): 119 MBps2.5 GbE (my desktop): 235 MBpsNow10 GbE (Plex): 985 MBps10 Gbe (my dekstop): 985 MBps10 GbE unRaid NAS: 985 MBpsCouldn't ask for better than that! Great job and great product.

I'm loving these little switches!
I really appreciate the fact that the power port is on the same side as the NIC ports. I use these in my home lab and not in a computer cabinet/rack so simple easy access is great for my needs. I also like the fact that these use the external AC/DC power adapter to keep the heat out of the metal chassis. These units are fan-less and the operate absolutely noiseless. The 10gb unit get a bit warm, but it not uncomfortable. I have also purchased the TrendNet 10/2.5gb 6 port switch and its characteristics are identical. I'm upgrading my home lab to 2.5gb and 10gb wherever possible and these TrendNet switches have become my go-to networking product of choice. I've purchased a few TrendNet products over the years and they have always been reliable. I hope these units continue to deliver for many years to come.

Internset Speeds Halved by this Switch
I have a few different switches in my network, however I had the need for a 10GBe switch. I recently upgraded my internet to 5GB Fiber and my ASUS Router included only 1 GBe ethernet port (in addition to the one for the WAN). I wanted to be able to connect my PC, my new Mac mini, and a planned NAS all over 10GBe.Unfortunately, I plugged this switch in between my PC and the router and my speeds dropped to less than half of what I was getting with the PC plugged directly into the router. Switches are usually plug and play, with no setup required, so I have no idea what was causing the behavior. I tried both ethernet cables directly from the router to the PC, and both received 5GB+ speeds (ruling out a faulty cable). If I plugged the PC into this switch and the switch into the router (with no other devices on the switch), my speeds dropped to barely 2GB. Odd behavior. I returned this switch and purchased a 10GBe switch from another company: With the same cables and setup, there is no drop in my internet speed. Not sure what is/was going on with this TRENDNet switch and my Asus router.
